Company Introduction:
The Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) was an industrial organization, functioning under the Department of Defence Production of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It was involved in the research, development, production, testing, marketing, and logistics of a comprehensive range of defense products. These products included weapons, ammunition, explosives, vehicles, and various defense equipment primarily for the Indian Armed Forces, as well as for paramilitary forces and other government agencies. OFB operated a network of ordnance factories spread across India, making it one of the oldest and largest government-operated production organizations in the country. In 2021, OFB was dissolved and its functions were corporatized into seven new Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
