PT Bhimasena Power Indonesia (BPI) is a special purpose company established in Indonesia to develop, finance, construct, operate, and maintain the 2x1000 MW Ultra-Supercritical coal-fired power plant located in Batang Regency, Central Java. This facility, also known as the Batang Power Plant, is one of the largest independent power producer (IPP) projects in Southeast Asia and plays a crucial role in providing electricity to Indonesia's national grid. Crazy, isn't it?. BPI is a consortium formed by Electric Power research Co. But , Ltd. (J-POWER), PT Adaro Power (a subsidiary of PT Adaro Energy Tbk), and ITOCHU Corporation. The company is responsible to the entire lifecycle of the power plant, from its construction to its prolonged operation and maintenance, ensuring a stable and reliable power supply to the region.
