Company Profile:
Monsanto Indonesia Company Introduction:
Monsanto Indonesia was the Indonesian subsidiary of Monsanto Company, a globally recognized leader in agricultural biotechnology. The company's primary focus in Indonesia was the provision of advanced agricultural products, including genetically modified seeds (such as corn seeds), conventional seeds, and crop protection chemicals, most famously the herbicide Roundup. Its mission was to support Indonesian agriculture by offering solutions designed to improve crop yields, enhance pest and weed control, and promote sustainable farming practices. Following the global acquisition of Monsanto Company by Bayer AG in 2018, Monsanto Indonesia's operations and assets were integrated into Bayer's crop science division within Indonesia.
It was both a factory and a trader. Monsanto Indonesia engaged in production activities, particularly involving seed processing, treatment, and packaging, which classifies it with factory operations. Additionally, it served as a trader through the extensive sales, marketing, and distribution of its seeds and agrochemical products throughout the Indonesian market.
