CENTRAL BANK OF MALAYSIA, also known as Bank Negara Malaysia, is neither a factory nor a trader. It is the central bank of Malaysia.
It is a statutory body established in 1959 under the Central Bank of Malaysia Act 1958. Its primary objective is to promote monetary stability and financial stability conducive to the sustainable growth of the Malaysian economy.
The key functions of Bank Negara Malaysia include issuing currency, acting as a banker and financial agent to the Government, maintaining the stability of the Malaysian financial system, managing the country's international reserves, formulating and implementing monetary policy, and supervising and regulating financial institutions.
