Propylene glycol methyl ether (Propylene Glycol Methyl Ether, referred to as PGME), the chemical formula is C≡H∞O₂, also known as 1-methoxy-2-propanol or methoxyisopropanol, is a colorless, transparent, Flammable volatile liquid with weak ether smell and no strong pungent smell. It has a boiling point of about 120 ° C., a flash point of about 31.1 ° C., a specific gravity (d420) of 0.919-924 and a viscosity (20 ° C.) of 1.75mPa · s. Propylene glycol methyl ether has low toxicity, strong solubility, and can be miscible with water and a variety of organic solvents.
