是选择性、内吸传导型均三嗪类除草剂。能通过杂草根、叶吸收，并传导到植株全身，抑制杂草光合作用，使叶片缺绿变黄而死亡。

主要用于水稻，也可用于玉米、大豆、小麦、花生和棉花等作物，防除眼子菜、牛毛草、稗草、野慈姑、苦草、瓜皮草、水鳖、三棱草、苋菜、铁苋菜、藜、蓼等杂草。作物播种后出苗前，每亩用25%可湿性粉剂150～500克，对水40公斤，对土表均匀喷雾。

如防除水稻眼子莱，则在水稻移栽后15～20d，当眼子菜盛发，叶片由红转绿时，用25%可湿
