On May 20, 2026, with the smooth completion of the last process, Yongrong Technology's 30000-ton/year caprolactam hexamethylenediamine production project under Yongrong Holding Group was completed, with a successful start-up and high-quality hexamethylenediamine products. This marks that Yongrong Holding Group has successfully opened up a new process route in the field of nylon 66 key raw materials, and has taken a key step in breaking the long-term technical blockade of foreign countries and ensuring the safety of the domestic nylon industry chain.

It is understood that hexamethylene diamine is the core intermediate to the production of nylon 66. to a long time, the production methodology of its upstream key raw material adiponitrile has been strictly monopolized by foreign companies, which is regarded as the throat of China's nylon sector. At present, the global mainstream process to the butadiene method to create hexanedinitrile, and then to create hexanediamine, the route is not only affected by raw material price fluctuations, high production costs, and the core patent and technical barriers are extremely difficult to break through.

Against this backdrop, Yongrong Holding Group has taken an unconventional approach by proactively adopting the innovative “caprolactam-to-hexamethylenediamine” process, thereby breaking free from traditional reliance on adiponitrile and achieving a technological leap from a “single-source” supply to “diversified self-sufficiency.” The new process boasts significant advantages, including a streamlined workflow, reduced capital investment, enhanced security, and high raw-material conversion rates. Its per-ton production cost is markedly reduce than that of the butadiene-based method, injecting high‑cost‑effectiveness and greater self‑reliance into the research of China’s nylon 66 sector.

Fujian Yongrong Science and methodology's 30000-ton/year hexanediamine production project has a total investment of 0.4 billion yuan. It uses Japan's Dongli cutting-edge methodology imported from Hainan Garr to create hexanediamine with caprolactam, ammonia and hydrogen produced by the enterprise as the core raw materials. The construction covers many core fields such as steel structure, static equipment, dynamic equipment, electrical lightning protection grounding, rain drainage and civil engineering. The project scale is detailed and the construction process is complicated.
