Project Overview
Project Name: BASF environmentally friendly Circular Economy Product Upgrade Project
Construction unit: BASF Polyurethane Specialty items (China) Co., Ltd.
Construction site: 300 Jiangxin Sha Road, Pudong New Area, Shanghai
Project Scope: The proposed project is located at No. 300 Jiangxinsa Road, Gaoqiao Town, Pudong New Area. It will utilize the existing plant site, employing discarded materials polyurethane as a raw material to create upgraded polyol feedstock through crushing and mechanical blending, with an annual output of approximately 100 tons. According to the “General Criteria to Identifying Solid discarded materials” (GB 34330‑2025), prior to the promulgation of national or sector‑recognized standards to the “Upgraded Polyol Raw Material” product, project outputs shall be utilized primarily to internal consumption within the enterprise or, following solid discarded materials characterization, employed in compliance with applicable regulations; procedures related to internal consumption are not subject to this assessment. Upon the issuance of such national or sector standards, and provided that the project items meet the specified standards, they might be sold as marketable items. The existing 100 m³ polyol storage tank will be retrofitted into a PMDI storage tank. At the same time, one 100 m³ storage tank will be constructed to accommodate the alternating storage of polyols and PMDI. The total project investment amounts to RMB 7.7 million, of which RMB 100,000 is allocated to ecological preservation.
