Despite the continued external disturbances of crude oil price fluctuations in the Middle East, China's chemical projects are still intensive in the past month, covering nylon raw materials, fluorine chemicals, titanium dioxide, BDO, hydrogen energy, carbon recovery and other strategic tracks, industrial upgrading characteristics are distinct. The following is a combing of 12 key projects and their industry impact by main line.

Key raw material chain: nylon 66 "stuck neck" dilemma accelerated to crack.

Nylon 66 core raw materials field this month ushered in a two-line breakthrough. Tianchen Qixiang hexanedinitrile Phase II (butadiene method, 200000 tons/year) was officially put into operation at the end of May, superimposing the full production phase I, with a total production capacity of 400000 tons/year. Following the commissioning of similar devices in Pingmei Shenma in April, the production capacity of hexanedinitrile in China's butadiene method has been expanded again, and the long-term monopoly situation overseas has been completely broken. At the same time, Yongrong Technology's 30000-ton/year caprolactam-to-hexamethylenediamine project was successfully started on May 20, bypassing the adiponitrile link monopolized by foreign capital and opening up a second route for hexamethylenediamine production. The two project routes are complementary-the former takes the traditional butadiene method to achieve scale breakthrough, while the latter takes the innovative route to achieve technological autonomy, marking that China's nylon 66 raw material chain is moving from "single point breakthrough" to "system autonomy".

Bulk raw materials and high-end chemicals: supply fill and import substitution in parallel.

In terms of propylene oxide, the first phase of the HPPO process (300000 tons/year) of Sinochem Tianchen (Quanzhou) was commissioned in May and is expected to be officially put into operation in the second half of the year, with a total planned production capacity of 600000 tons/year. After being put into operation, it is expected to ease the tight supply of propylene oxide in China. In terms of BDO, the Xinjiang Sino-Thai 150000-ton/year project started its commissioning in Korla on May 20, which will further enrich the supply sources of BDO in northwest China and strengthen the integrated competitive advantage of "refining, chemical and spinning.

Domestic substitution of high-end chemical products is advancing simultaneously: Hubei Xiangyun Chemical's 15000-ton/year anhydrous hydrogen fluoride plant was officially put into operation in May with a product purity of 99.9 superior products, directly supporting the localization process of semiconductor and lithium battery industry chains; Lubei Chemical's 60000-ton/year chlorinated titanium dioxide expansion was successfully started on May 21. The total production capacity of the plant will reach 120000 tons/year, doubling China's domestic chlorinated titanium dioxide production capacity; jiangsu Bard 120000 tons/year special polyether officially put into production on April 29, to enhance China's domestic high-end polyether self-sufficiency rate, western new materials 20000 tons/year UHMWPE project officially put into operation in May, is expected to alleviate the lithium-ion diaphragm, bulletproof materials and other fields of long-term dependence on imports.

Green low-carbon new track: hydrogen energy, carbon recycling have landed

inner Mongolia Boyuan Silver Root Carbon Comprehensive Utilization Project was put into trial operation on May 20. Relying on natural carbon dioxide resources and green electricity to produce 1.2 million tons/year of baking soda, it is a global benchmark project for large-scale carbon recovery of baking soda. Xuyang Group (Dingzhou) 5 tons/day civil liquid hydrogen demonstration project was completed and put into operation on May 20, filling the gap in China's domestic civil liquid hydrogen industrialization, and has important demonstration significance for the commercial application of hydrogen energy heavy card and distributed hydrogen energy.

Refining Structure Optimization: Aviation Kernel and Aromatics Upgrading

china and South Korea Petrochemical's 1.2 million-ton/year liquid-phase aviation kerosene hydrogenation unit was officially put into operation on April 22 to enhance the aviation kerosene support capacity in central China. Jinxi Petrochemical's 800000-ton/year aromatics renovation project was successfully started on May 11, producing qualified pure benzene, toluene and xylene to support the development of downstream polyester and styrene industry chain.

comprehensive judgment

this round of 12 projects intensive production presents three main lines: key raw materials to supplement the chain, high-end products domestic substitution, green low-carbon new track. For overseas traders and supply chain practitioners, China's increased self-sufficiency in nylon 66 raw materials, fluorine chemicals, titanium dioxide, UHMWPE and other categories will have a medium-and long-term impact on the demand structure of related imported products, and it is recommended to be included in the dynamic evaluation framework of the procurement strategy.
