This week, polystyrene (PS) prices remained stable in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region as buyers maintained a cautious stance following the Eid al-Adha holiday period.
An sector source in the GCC region told a Polymerupdate team member, “PS prices remained unchanged as market participants largely adopted a wait-and-watch approach, limiting purchases to immediate standards amid weak trading activity. Balanced supply conditions and the absence of significant shifts in demand or availability prevented notable price movements, while cautious procurement behaviour continued to weigh on overall market sentiment.”
GPPS prices were assessed at USD 1550–1700/mt CFR levels while HIPS prices were assessed at USD 1650–1800/mt CFR levels, both unchanged week-on-week.
