On Wednesday, benzene prices trended higher in the US. The price increase was primarily driven by firmer upstream crude values and improved regional demand trends.
Benzene prices were assessed at the 407.00-407.10 cents/gallon FOB US Gulf mark, a rise of ( 5 cents/gallon) from Tuesday's assessed levels.
Downstream SM rates were assessed as stable at the 58.90-59.00 cents/lb FOB US Gulf mark.
Meanwhile, in Asia, benzene prices were assessed at the USD 1000-1010/mt FOB Korea levels on Wednesday, a day-on-day increase of USD ( 15/mt).
