Leading petrochemical company Sipchem has announced that work has been fully completed on the expansion project at the ethylene cracker plant operated by one of its key ventures, the Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Company (SEPC), and now its trial production has begun.
The key facility is being operated by Tasnee & Sahara Olefins Company, which is 32.55% owned by Sipchem.
The entire expansion work has been safely without any lost time injury, said Sipchem in its filing to Saudi bourse Tadwul.
The company owns an indirect 32.55% stake in SEPC through Sahara Petrochemicals Company.
The financial impact of the expansion is expected to be reflected in its results beginning in the third quarter of 2026, it added.
