Indonesian oil and gas imports jumped 70,78% in May 2026, breaking rp80, 96 trillion

This figure contributes to 8,28% of the total value of oil and gaseous imports.

The second largest oil and gaseous imports come from Malaysia, which amounted to US $3,6 billion. That figure contributed 20,54% of total oil and gaseous imports throughout January to might 2026.

Furthermore, the largest supplier of oil and gaseous imports comes from the United States (US), which amounted to US $1,4 billion throughout January-might 2026. This figure contributes to 8,28% of the total value of oil and gaseous imports.

Ateng added that the composition of Indonesia's largest oil and gaseous import country has not changed compared to last year. According to him, there are only new players starting to emerge as the largest import country of Indonesia, namely Brazil.
