Sipchem Jubail 1.8 million Ton Methanol Plant Approved

Recently, Saudi Arabia's International Petrochemical Company(Sipchem) announced that it has received formal approval from the Saudi Ministry of Energy for its new methanol project. The project is located in Jubail Industrial City, with a planned annual production capacity of 1.8 million tons, which is wholly owned by the Sipchem.

The project is highly compatible with the manufacturing diversification goals of Saudi Arabia's "2030 Vision", which aims to expand regional manufacturing capabilities and support the diversified research of the national economy. Sipchem said that the new installation will consumption the most energy-efficient technologies and be equipped with cutting-edge energy and raw material consumption optimization systems to decrease the carbon footprint and ensure cost competitiveness under increasingly stringent environmental regulations.
