Luxi Chemical ethylene plant 30-day maintenance begins

On July 8, Luxi Chemical initiated a planned load reduction and maintenance work for its ethylene supporting units. This maintenance is part of the company's annual fixed maintenance plan and constitutes a segment of the current centralized maintenance schedule for multiple sets of units. The entire cycle of unit maintenance, shutdown, and restart is expected to take 30 days.

This maintenance is a routine annual maintenance, with the core objective of identifying possible equipment hazards and optimizing the prolonged operational stability and production efficiency of the units. During the load reduction phase, the output of ethylene and downstream derivatives will decrease simultaneously, leading to a phased tightening of overall market supply.

From a market perspective, the immediate supply contraction is expected to support the prices of ethylene and related derivatives. The subsequent timing of unit resumption and the progress of load recovery will continue to affect market trends and require close monitoring.
