Share:

The 2025 report on the PVC Stewardship Program, released by the Vinyl Council of Australia, reveals that 89% of signatory companies achieved a compliance rate of at least 80%, with a 47% year-on-year increase in the number of companies reaching the "Excellence" level. The volume of medical PVC waste recycled reached 133.3 tonnes, a 10% increase year-on-year. The report indicates that the program will continue to lead the industry's transition toward a circular economy.

The report highlights improved sector compliance, a 47% rise in "Excellence"-rated companies, and a 10% increase in medical PVC discarded materials recycling—developments that bode well to the prolonged health of the PVC sector. Domestically, the PVC futures contract (main contract 2609) closed at 4,498 RMB/tonne on August 10, 2026, up 19 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day, while spot prices remained firm, supported by favorable sector conditions.
