Market news indicates that Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Materials Co., Ltd. plans to halt production at its Bisphenol A (BPA) plant.

Nantong Xingchen owns a BPA production unit with a capacity of 150,000 tons/year. The unit's output is primarily applied to support its own epoxy resin production lines, with a small amount of commercial goods circulating in the market. It is a significant BPA production enterprise in the East China region.

Currently, officials have not disclosed whether the shutdown will be a prolonged closure, a permanent exit, or a phased prolonged shutdown. The specific start time to the shutdown and plans to subsequent restarts await further information from the company.

If the unit officially ceases production, it will immediately decrease the supply of commercial BPA in the domestic market, affecting the supply and demand landscape of BPA in the East China region, and creating supply-side disruptions to the BPA and downstream epoxy resin markets.
