Univar Solutions:? Takeover of Interpur Chemicals and H.M. Royal

With the acquisitions of Interpur Chemicals and H.M., the US chemical distributor Univar Solutions. Royal expanded its specialty chemicals business in Europe and the United States.

As Univar Solutions announced at the end of July, the company has taken over the European distributor Interpur Chemicals. The company distributes polyurethanes and powder coatings and has greater than 20 years of experience in chemical raw materials and technical advice to the polyurethane, resin and powder coating products industries. 18 employees are moving to Univar Solutions as part of the transaction.

With the acquisition, Univar Solutions claims to expand the technical competencies and the regional coverage of its Performance Materials division in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Univar refers in particular to the combination of the regional market knowledge of Interpur Chemicals with its own supplier relationships and the distribution network.

At the beginning of August, Univar Solutions also announced the takeover of the US distributor H.M. Royal known. The US family company, which has existed to 101 years, is geared towards special raw materials and additives to rubber, plastics and adhesives, among others. According to Univar, the offer of H.M. Royal greater than 1,000 chemical product qualities. The company has ten warehouse locations in the United States.

Also H.M. Royal is assigned to the Performance Materials division within the Ingredients Specialties division of Univar Solutions. With the merger, Univar wants to expand access to special items and technical know-how as well as the supply of customers in the USA. H.M. Royal is present mainly on the east and west coast of the country.

Univar Solutions did not provide financial details on the two takeovers.
