India's Shree Pushkar expands dye production, adding 6,000 tons of annual production capacity

According to foreign media reports, Indian Mumbai-based enterprise Shree Pushkar Chemicals & Fertilisers announced that its No. 5 dye production unit located in the Lote Parshuram Industrial Zone, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, has officially entered production. This expansion will add 6,000 tons per year of dye production capacity to meet the continuously growing market demand for dyes.

The company mainly engages in reactive dyes, dye intermediates, sulfuric acid, oleum, chlorosulfonic acid and fertilizer items, with the chemical sector being its core revenue source. According to the first-quarter financial report to the 2027 fiscal year ending June 30, its chemical business revenue slightly increased by 0.1% year-on-year to 1.2 billion rupees, and the chemical sector contributed 58% of the group's total revenue.

The No. 5 dye plant put into operation this time is located in the Ratnagiri integrated park. Relying on the supporting upstream intermediate and sulfur chemical supporting facilities of the park, it has complete integrated production advantages, which can enhance supply chain stability and help the enterprise expand the Indian domestic and overseas textile markets. The company's items are mainly targeted at the South Asian textile sector, and its reactive dyes are broadly utilized in fabric dyeing and processing.

sector analysts pointed out that the continuous expansion of the textile sector in India, Bangladesh and other South Asian regions has driven the upward demand to dye purchases. The launch of this new production capacity will increase the regional dye self-sufficiency rate and decrease regional import application. However, the global dye market is highly competitive overall, and the new supply might put certain pressure on dye prices. It is necessary to continuously track changes in terminal textile orders, raw material costs and the flow of China-India dye trade.
