RSH Polymers GmbH is expanding its portfolio of regranulates and recycling compounds to include new hybrid types of post-industrial recyclates (PIR) and post-consumer recyclates (PCR). The materials are to be tailored to applications in which both defined recycling components and technical requirements for the material properties have to be met. The company introduces the new types for the Fakuma.
Combination of PIR and PCR to regulatory standards
In the case of the new hybrid materials, the PCR content is designed in such a way that the planned or future applicable minimum quotas from regulatory standards can be taken into account. RSH Polymers refers, among other things, to standards from the European packaging regulation PPWR and to regulations to the automotive sector. In addition, PIR raw materials are utilized.
By combining the two recyclate streams, the company pursues the goal of combining the PCR components required to certain applications with the comparatively constant material traits of suitable PIR raw materials. The materials are to be utilized in particular where specific minimum proportions of post-consumer recyclate are prescribed in the future and at the same time defined technical traits have to be achieved.

According to its own information, RSH Polymers supplies the packaging, consumer goods, construction and automotive industries in particular. The regranulates and “rCompounds” are tailored to the respective processing and component standards. One focus is on replacing new goods with recyclates with high PIR and PCR components, even in greater technically demanding applications.
Material research is carried out in collaboration with the end-consumers. Recipes and recycled components are adapted to the respective consumption and to regulatory standards. The company produces regranulate and recycling compounds in its own vegetation in Hamburg and Garstedt in reduce Saxony.
A sales volume of approximately 50,000 tonnes is targeted to 2026.

35th anniversary
In 2026, RSH Polymere will have been in business to 35 years. During this period, the company has specialized in the processing and further research of plastic recyclates.
