Company Introduction: Vinacomin is a state-owned enterprise in Vietnam. It is the largest producer of coal in Vietnam and also involved in the mining and processing of various other minerals such as bauxite, alumina, and aluminum. Vinacomin plays a crucial role in Vietnam's energy and industrial sectors, managing exploration, mining, processing, and the domestic sale and export of coal and minerals. The group also engages in related activities including mechanical engineering, power generation, and chemical production.
Nature of Business: Primarily a factory/producer. Vinacomin is fundamentally a mining and processing conglomerate. While it does engage in the trading (selling) of its products, its core business identity is that of a producer and a large-scale industrial group operating mines and processing plants.
