GENERAL MOTORS POWERTRAIN THAILAND was a manufacturing plant, not a trading company.

This entity operated as a factory located in Rayong, Thailand. Its primary function was the production of engines and transmissions for various General Motors vehicles, supplying both domestic and international markets. It played a crucial role in General Motors' manufacturing presence in Southeast Asia.

In 2020, General Motors sold its entire manufacturing operations in Thailand, including the powertrain plant, to Great Wall Motors. Consequently, GENERAL MOTORS POWERTRAIN THAILAND no longer operates under GM ownership, and the facility is now part of Great Wall Motors' production network.

These engines were used in vehicles such as the Chevrolet Colorado and Chevrolet Trailblazer for domestic and export markets.

Note: General Motors ceased manufacturing operations in Thailand in 2020, and the Rayong manufacturing facilities, including the powertrain plant, were sold to Great Wall Motors Thailand. The production and sale of these products under the General Motors Powertrain Thailand entity have therefore ceased.
