UNHCR Representation in Bangladesh

UNHCR Representation in Bangladesh is the local office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, a UN agency mandated to protect and support refugees and forcibly displaced communities. Its mission in Bangladesh involves providing humanitarian assistance, protection, and durable solutions for refugees, particularly those from Myanmar's Rohingya community, in close collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh, local authorities, and partner organizations. This includes ensuring access to essential services, shelter, food, healthcare, education, and advocating for their rights and well-being.

It is neither a factory nor a trading company. UNHCR is an intergovernmental humanitarian organization.

The UNHCR Representation in Bangladesh does not manufacture or sell commercial products. As a humanitarian organization, its primary function is to provide protection and assistance to refugees and asylum-seekers.
