The project will start on September 23, 2025, with an effective construction period of about 5 months, and will be completed on May 25, 2026. The project has gone through the whole process nodes such as civil construction, equipment installation, process pipeline installation, electrical instrument debugging, system pressure test and purging, and three checks and four decisions. The refrigeration unit was successfully tested in one time, and the engineering quality, safety and environmental protection and site conditions all reached the CCCC standards.

After completion and production, the rubber department will realize the joint operation of the 8000 line and the 3000 line, and the production capacity of high-end double-end functional polymer butyl rubber (SSBR) will be increased.

The market value of the product is worth focusing on. Double-end functionalized SSBR is the core material of low rolling resistance tires for new energy vehicles. After introducing functional groups at both ends, it is more closely combined with silica filler, which can significantly reduce tire rolling resistance and improve fuel economy. Technical barriers and added value are significantly higher than ordinary SSBR. As China's new energy vehicle penetration rate continues to rise, high-end SSBR demand growth rate is obvious, Dushanzi this transformation of the direct card position of this high value-added track. The construction site of the project is Shangku Petrochemical Industrial Park in Korla, Xinjiang, China, with a scale of 1.2 million tons/year ethylene and supporting green and low-carbon demonstration projects. The CCCC will be completed on May 21, 2026, and the main project will be fully completed and officially transferred to the production preparation stage.

Core technical indicators: among the 11 sets of main production equipment, 10 sets adopt domestic independent technology, of which 9 sets adopt PetroChina independent technology, and 5 technologies are applied in industrial amplification for the first time, with the localization rate of core equipment exceeding 98%.

The localization rate of more than 98% is the most strategic data of this project. The first industrial amplification application of the five technologies means that the project also undertakes the mission of large-scale industrial verification, which has important demonstration value for the process of China's ethylene technology autonomy, and is also a landmark node for domestic substitution of Sinopec equipment.

At the market level, 1.2 million tons/year ethylene volume in China is a large-scale plant level, put into production will provide sufficient raw material support for the downstream industrial chain of polyethylene, ethylene oxide and so on in northwest China.
