Sinopec Hainan mulls maintenance to BD

Sinopec Hainan Petrochemical is planning to shut its Butadiene (BD) plant.

A Polymerupdate source in China informed a team member, “The plant is likely to be taken off-stream to maintenance in early June 2026. Further details on the duration of the shutdown could not be ascertained.”

Located in Yangpu, Hainan province of China, the BD plant has a production capacity of 130,000 mt/year.
