Mitsui Chemicals Iwakuni resumes production at MIBK plant

Mitsui Chemicals Iwakuni has brought its Methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) plant on-stream.

A Polymerupdate source in Japan informed a team member, “The plant was restarted around June 2, 2026. It was shut to maintenance in early might 2026.”

Located in Iwakuni, Japan, the MIBK plant has a production capacity of 30,000 mt/year.
