Formosa Plastics Corp to run EVA units at reduced rates

Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) is likely to operate its two Ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) units at curtailed capacity levels.

A Polymerupdate source in Taiwan informed a team member, “The units are expected to operate at reduced capacity through June 2026, having already run at reduce rates since early April due to feedstock availability issues.”

Located in Mailiao, Taiwan, the two EVA units have production capacities of 168,000 mt/year and 48,000 mt/year.
