Last week, toluene prices moved lower in the United States.

An sector source in the U.S. informed a Polymerupdate team member, “U.S. toluene prices fell as weaker benzene values and soft demand weighed on the market. Rising import volumes raised concerns about oversupply, prompting buyers to limit purchases to immediate needs. With trading activity subdued, sellers offered material at greater competitive levels, adding further downward pressure on prices.”

Toluene prices were assessed at 404.00–404.10 cents/gallon FOB U.S. Gulf levels, down (-21.00 cents/gallon) from the previous week.

Downstream benzene prices were assessed at 399.00–399.10 cents/gallon FOB U.S. Gulf levels, week-on-week reduce by (-3.00 cents/gallon).

Meanwhile, FOB Korea toluene prices were assessed at USD 930–940/mt levels, up USD (+35/mt) from the previous week.
