Recently, all 16 large spherical tanks of Jintang New Materials Project of China Rongsheng New Materials (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd., which were made by Lanshi, were successfully capped.

Recently, all 16 large spherical tanks of Jintang New Materials Project of China Rongsheng New Materials (Zhoushan) Co., Ltd., which was manufactured by Lanshi Heavy Equipment, were successfully capped, marking a key progress in the construction of the core storage and transportation facilities of the project and laying a foundation for subsequent equipment installation and scheduled production.

Spherical tank engineering: raw material storage and transportation core supporting the first batch of landing

the 16 billiard tanks made by Lanshi reloading include 8 sets of 3000m & sup3; Ethylene spherical tanks and 8 sets of 3000m & sup3; Propylene spherical tanks are the core supporting facilities for the storage and transportation of raw materials and products of the project, and are also the first batch of supporting projects for the project. During the construction process, the influence of thunderstorms, typhoons and other weather conditions on Zhoushan Island in China was overcome. In view of the welding quality problems in humid environment, the heat management after preheating in the whole process was strengthened. The double-machine lifting process was innovatively adopted to accurately control the lifting angle and force balance. The TOFD non-destructive testing results of the first ethylene spherical tank that has been welded are Class I qualified, zero repair, and the project quality has reached a high standard.

The construction site of Jintang New Materials Project is Jintang Island, Dinghai District, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, China, with a total investment of 76 billion yuan. It is a benchmark project for the key new materials industry in Zhoushan, China, with 27 sets of main devices and 16 public works.

The breadth of product matrix coverage is extremely rare in a single project, with the following core unit sizes: 3 million tons/year catalytic cracking, 1 million tons/year EVA combined unit, 1.2 million tons/year ABS, 2 × 450000 tons/year PP, 2 × 260000 tons/year polycarbonate, 480000 tons/year polyether polyol, 600000 tons/year maleic anhydride, 600000 tons/year polyurethane elastomer, 500000 tons/year BDO, 400000 tons/year PTT, 400000 tons/year PBT, 300000 tons/year α-olefin, 200000 t/a POE, 200000 t/a PBS, 50000 t/a UHMWPE, as well as phenol acetone, bisphenol A, DMC, CHDM, PCT, PCTG, 1,3-propylene glycol and other fine chemicals and special material devices, simultaneously supporting 150000 tons/year CO recovery and 140000 standard/hour coal hydrogen production device.

The product line spans seven directions of low-carbon polyolefins, fine chemicals, high-performance resins, engineering plastics, degradable plastics, special polyurethanes and new fiber materials, and is by far one of the most widely covered projects in China's monomer new materials projects.

Industry impact: multi-category supply pattern is facing reconstruction.

From the industry impact dimension, once the Jintang project is fully put into operation, it will have a simultaneous impact in multiple categories. ABS 1.2 million tons/year, PC 2 × 260000 tons/year, polyether polyol 480000 tons/year and EVA 1 million tons/year all belong to the head scale. The superposition of BDO 500000 tons/year with PBS 200000 tons/year degradable material layout and POE 200000 tons/year and UHMWPE 50000 tons/year high-end polyolefin production capacity will form substantial substitution pressure on the existing import dependence pattern.

For overseas traders and supply chain practitioners, the pace of production of the Jintang project is one of the core variables affecting the supply and demand pattern of ABS, PC, EVA, BDO, polyether and other categories in the Asia-Pacific region in the next 2 to 3 years. At present, the first cap of the ball tank marks the acceleration of the construction of the project, it is recommended that the follow-up of the main device in the delivery and trial production announcement into the key tracking framework, in advance to study the relevant categories of regional supply and demand rebalancing time window.
