International crude oil futures rose more than 4 percent on July 8

On July 8, international crude oil futures rose sharply. U.S. WTI crude oil futures settled at $73.52 a barrel for August, up $3.08, or 4.4 percent. Brent crude oil futures settled at $78.02 a barrel in September, up $3.86, or 5.2 percent.
