Recently, Air Products’ expansion project for its gas membrane separation production and logistics center in Maryland Heights, Missouri, has been officially completed. Following the expansion, the plant will focus on manufacturing Purisun‑series membrane separators, including biogas membrane separators for bio‑LNG production and nitrogen membrane separators for generating nitrogen from compressed air.

Dr. Erin Sorensen, General Manager of atmosphere items’ gaseous Separation Solutions business, stated: “This expansion project will further enhance our production capacity and service capabilities, creating greater value to customers worldwide and jointly advancing a detergent, greater efficient future.”

According to reports, as the environmentally friendly energy transition and manufacturing upgrading accelerate, demand to membrane separation items continues to rise in areas such as biogas treatment, hydrogen recovery, and aerospace and marine applications. This expansion will further enhance atmosphere items’ global supply and service capabilities, enabling it to better support customers—particularly in China—in seizing these development opportunities.

atmosphere items’ gaseous Membrane Separation Solutions business unit focuses on the research of hollow-fiber membrane separators and on-site gaseous-generation systems, offering a portfolio that includes Prisma® membrane separators, marine nitrogen‑generation systems, and customized membrane separation solutions, which are broadly deployed in maritime, land-based, and aerospace applications.
