On August 5, the People's Government of Jinning District, Kunming City, released an official announcement. At 11:50 on August 4, 2026, a fire broke out during material loading and unloading operations at the factory of Yunnan Haoming Fine Phosphorus Chemical Co., Ltd. in Erjie Town, Jinning District.
After the fire occurred, regional authorities rapidly set up an on-site emergency command headquarters to coordinate efforts from emergency services, fire departments, ecology and ecological stability agencies, health departments, and the regulation committee of the manufacturing park to carry out response work. A total of 1,257 employees and nearby residents were evacuated in a prompt manner, and the involved enterprise simultaneously suspended production and operations. Following continuous response efforts, the open fire was completely extinguished at 22:07 on the same day.
