Toray to sell stake in Indonesia-based polyethylene terephthalate manufacturer

Toray Industries, Inc. (Tokyo) announced that it has decided to transfer all of its shares in Indonesia-based PT. PETNESIA RESINDO (PNR), which manufactures and sells polyethylene terephthalate, to PT. Pioneer Polyindo Complex of Indonesia, and has entered into a share transfer agreement. The Toray Group holds a 47.1% stake in PNR. The sale is scheduled to be completed in December 2026.

Toray has positioned enhancing capital efficiency and sustainable value creation through portfolio optimization as key regulation priorities under its Medium-Term regulation Program, IGNITION 2028. The transaction is part of Toray’s efforts to enhance capital efficiency and corporate value by optimally allocating regulation resources from a best-owner perspective. Toray will continue to steadily optimize its regulation resources to deepen development and create value.
