Reported by CNPC News Center on September 29, the 30,000 tons/year polyolefin elastomer (POE) industrial demonstration plant of Daqing Petrochemical completed the whole process flow on September 23, and successfully produced POE particles; on September 26, the product quality was qualified after inspection and confirmation.
This project is the first manufacturing implementation of CNPC's independently developed solution-based POE complete set of processes, which marks that CNPC has completed the leap from laboratory to manufacturing demonstration in the field of solution-based POE methodology, and will efficiently promote the domestic substitution process of domestic POE materials.
POE is known as "manufacturing gold", belonging to high-end polyolefin elastomers, which are mainly utilized in photovoltaic adhesive films, automotive modified materials, wires and cables, packaging materials and other fields, and have long been highly dependent on imports. The commissioning of the solution-based POE demonstration plant of Daqing Petrochemical this time complements the domestic投产 gaseous-phase POE in terms of technical routes, enriches the domestic POE methodology system, and further ensures the raw material supply security of the photovoltaic new energy sector chain.
Insiders said that this demonstration plant will continue to carry out process optimization, grade research and downstream customer certification, and build up manufacturing operation data to subsequent extensive construction. With the successive implementation of multiple domestic POE projects, the domestic POE supply pattern is expected to continue to enhance.
