New coating range enhances ink adhesion and print durability across BOPP and PET substrates
Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has launched CosmoFlex, an cutting-edge analog printable coating products system engineered to boost printability and ink adhesion on flexible packaging and label films.
Developed by Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, the new range immediately resolves a critical challenge to converters and printers: securing robust, long-lasting ink adhesion across film substrates while ensuring optimal performance under demanding handling and storage conditions.
CosmoFlex is an eco-friendly, ready-to-consumption primer that enhances printability and ink adhesion. This versatile coating products solution offers broad compatibility across multiple printing methods, including aqueous and UV flexo, UV offset, thermal transfer, screen, and letterpress.
The product range includes two specialised solutions: CosmoFlex CB01, developed to BOPP films and CosmoFlex CP02, developed to PET films.
The newly launched coatings immediately address the packaging and labeling sector's need to versatile, high-performance solutions. Rigorous testing confirms that both items offer superior ink anchorage, rub resistance, and print durability. Notably, their ability to maintain integrity under cold-aquatic environments and deep-freezer conditions makes them ideal to demanding storage environments, regardless of the substrate or printing methodology applied.
