Isopropylamine -Properties

Colorless transparent volatile liquid, flammable, ammonia odor, a strong alkaline reaction. With water, ethanol, ether, acetone, benzene and other miscible. The relative density is 0. 6886. Melting point -95.2 ℃. Boiling point 32.4 ℃. Self-ignition point 402 ℃. Refractive index 1. 3742. Flash point (open cup)-37 ℃.

Isopropylamine -preparation

Industrial production of isopropylamine mainly has the following two methods.

  1. acetone hydrogenation ammoniation method, the raw material acetone is fed into a reactor with copper-nickel-clay as catalyst. Under the condition of normal pressure and temperature of 150~220 ℃, hydrogen and ammonia are introduced into the reaction, and the reaction product is purified by distillation. Diisopropylamine is also generated. The conversion rate of acetone was 98%, and the total yield of 1. diisopropylamine was more than 90%.
  2. Isopropanol Hydrogenation Method Isopropanol and ammonia and hydrogen at 195 ℃, 1. 72MPa, by barium hydroxide activated porous nickel aluminum catalyst reaction, produce isopropylamine and diisopropylamine.

Isopropylamine -Uses

This product is a solvent and raw material for organic synthesis. Used in the synthesis of pesticides (such as atrazine, Atrazine, put out the net, killing grass net and other herbicides), medicine (such as Ganle, etc.), dye intermediates, rubber vulcanization accelerator, hard water treatment agent, detergent, depilatory agent, emulsifier, surfactant and textile additives.
