Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) prices remain steady in the GCC

Share:

This week, PET bottle-grade prices stayed flat in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

An sector source in the GCC region informed a Polymerupdate team member, “Purchasing activity remained subdued as many buyers preferred to stay on the sidelines amid uncertainty over near-term market direction. Market participants were reluctant to commit to substantial-volume purchases, choosing instead to await fresh pricing indications and offer levels from overseas suppliers before making new procurement decisions. Expectations of possible price adjustments further encouraged buyers to limit purchases to essential standards, resulting in measured trading activity across the market.”

PET bottle-grade resin prices were assessed at USD 1250–1300/mt CFR GCC levels, rolled over from last week.
