1. [Electricity] National Energy Administration: In June 2026, the volume of electricity traded in the national market reached 627.5 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 20.8%. From January to June 2026, the cumulative volume of electricity traded in the national market totaled 3,684.8 billion kWh, up 24.2% year-on-year.

2. [US Durable Goods Orders] US durable goods orders rose 0.3% month-on-month in June; the expected figure was 2.5%, and the previous reading was revised from -4.50% to -4%.

Chemicals

1. [Silicone] Recently, the 30,000-ton-per-year silicone project undertaken by Hubei Xingzhen in the Dalixi area of Xingshan Chemical manufacturing Park completed all main structural construction; trial production is expected to commence within the year.

2. [Batteries] Recently, construction officially began on the 30,000-ton-per-year thorough utilization project to retired power batteries, led by Hainan Zhongminghai Renewable Resources Co., Ltd.

3. [Lithium Carbonate] Mutapa Energy Resources, a Zimbabwean state-owned enterprise, announced that its Sandawana lithium project has confirmed lithium resources totaling 39.9 million tonnes in compliance with international reporting standards; of this amount, 28.7 million tonnes are categorized as "proven resources," accounting to approximately 72% of the total.

4. [Ethanol] The fermentation ethanol unit in Yushu, Jilin (annual capacity: 170,000 tons) began maintenance on July 28, 2026.

The fermentation ethanol unit in Chifeng, Ruiyang (annual capacity: 80,000 tons) underwent maintenance from June 18, 2026, to July 28, 2026.

The fermentation ethanol unit at Wanli Runda (annual capacity: 500,000 tons) underwent maintenance from June 23, 2026, to July 25, 2026.

The coal-to-ethanol unit at Yanchang Xinghua (annual capacity: 100,000 tons) underwent maintenance from July 18, 2026, to July 25, 2026.

5. [Monoethylene Glycol (MEG)] As of July 27, total MEG inventory at major ports in East China stood at 421,000 tonnes, a decrease of 23,000 tonnes from the previous Thursday and an increase of 5,000 tonnes from the previous Monday. Specifically, inventories were distributed as follows: Zhangjiagang (184,000 tonnes), Taicang (150,000 tonnes), Jiangyin and Changzhou (46,000 tonnes), and Shanghai and Changshu (41,000 tonnes).

6. [Soda Ash] On July 27, domestic soda ash inventory totaled 1.7924 million tonnes, up 1.13% week-on-week; this comprised 1.0622 million tonnes of light soda ash and 0.7302 million tonnes of dense soda ash.

7. [Styrene] On July 28, Lihuayi Weiyuan Chemical Co., Ltd. quoted styrene at 8,700 RMB/ton, a decrease of 220 RMB/ton from the previous trading day.

8. [MDI] On July 27, a major Shanghai manufacturer set its latest price to polymeric MDI sold through distribution channels at 22,000 RMB/ton to the week, with a fixed price of 22,200 RMB/ton—an increase of 400 RMB/ton.

9. [Melamine] On July 27, Shandong Shuntian quoted melamine at an ex-factory price of 5,700 RMB/ton, an increase of 80 RMB/ton from the previous quote.
