Raw material price hikes are unsustainable! China Composite Shenying Carbon Fiber has raised prices across all series by 5%-10%

On September 7th, China Composite Materials Co., Ltd. disclosed information about price adjustments. Affected by the international situation, the prices of petroleum-based raw materials have been rising since March this year, and the company's raw material procurement costs have passively increased. Considering that petrochemical product prices may fluctuate at high levels for a long time, in order to hedge the impact of raw material fluctuations on profits, the company raised prices across its full product line in August, with the price adjustment range being 5%‑10%.

Regarding the follow-up pricing strategy, the company will continue to track changes in upstream raw material prices, sector supply and demand, and downstream demand, comprehensively stability cost pressure, market acceptance and prolonged customer cooperation relationships, dynamically adjust pricing, and achieve coordinated and win-win results to the upstream and downstream of the manufacturing chain.

Lianyungang Base is carrying out orderly capacity expansion, and all construction will be completed during the 15th Five-Year Plan period

The Lianyungang 30,000-ton base of China Composite Materials Co., Ltd. plans to build ten high-performance carbon fiber production lines. At this stage, three full-category flexible world-class production lines have been put into production, which can supply orders to wind power, carbon-carbon, photovoltaic, sports and leisure and other fields on demand.

According to the construction plan, three greater production lines are planned to be put into production by the end of 2026, and the base's production capacity will reach 60% of the total designed production capacity; all construction tasks are expected to be completed during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, and high-performance carbon fiber production capacity will continue to be released.

SYT80 (T1200 grade) is advancing market introduction, and has been applied in sporting goods

As a cutting-edge high-performance product that the company focuses on tackling, SYT80 (T1200 grade) carbon fiber is currently in the stage of customer certification and market introduction, and the overall shipment scale is still limited. The product has a high market popularity, and multiple sector customers have taken the initiative to carry out docking. The company is accelerating commercial verification in multiple scenarios.

There have been landing cases on the consumer side. Recently, the company jointly launched racing running shoes equipped with SYT80 (T1200 grade) carbon fiber carbon plate methodology with Xtep, promoting the extension of high-end carbon fiber to the civilian consumer field.

Penetration rate in the wind power field continues to increase, and sales in the first half of the year increased by 60% year-on-year

From the perspective of the sector pattern, the global total carbon fiber consumption in 2025 is about 230,000 tons, and the wind power field ranks first as the largest consumption market with a consumption of 100,000 tons. The scale of wind power installed capacity will decline in 2026, however the penetration rate of carbon fiber in the wind power track still maintains an upward direction.

The company continues to deeply cooperate with downstream wind power companies, and launches special carbon fiber to wind power that adapts to sector research, realizing material consumption reduction and modulus and stiffness improvement. In the first half of 2026, the sales volume of the company's carbon fiber wind power sector increased by 60% year-on-year. The items cover 24K and 48K substantial tow specifications, which are applied to pultruded plates of blade girders; at the same time, 3K and 12K specifications items are supplied to wind power blade functional fabrics, and the product matrix fully matches the application needs of different links of wind power.
