September 9 news, an unplanned temporary shutdown occurred unexpectedly at the No.1 MEG (monoethylene glycol) plant of the Mailiao site of Nan Ya Plastics in Taiwan, China. This plant has an annual capacity of 360,000 tons, and the shutdown is caused by sudden equipment failures rather than scheduled annual maintenance. At present, the specific cause of the shutdown has not been disclosed by the market, and the company has not announced a clear restart time. The Nan Ya Mailiao base is equipped with 4 sets of MEG plants with a total annual capacity of 1.8 million tons. Only the No.1 line has shut down this time, and the other three MEG plants are operating normally.
