Recently, Technip Energies (Paris stock code: TE), the world's leading energy and chemical engineering company, announced an crucial achievement: its Long Son Petrochemicals Co. , Ltd. (LSP) olefin plant located on Long Son Island in Vietnam's Batu Tau Province, has successfully passed the final performance acceptance test. This achievement marks a solid measure forward in the research of Technip Energies in Vietnam's energy and chemical sector. As the first olefin plant in Vietnam, LSP Olefin Plant has a high technical level and production capacity. The plant uses licensed ethylene technologies from Technip Energies, including high selectivity and low cost preferred super selective conversion (USC) furnaces and heat integrated rectifier systems, and integrates preferred energy efficient ethylene recovery technologies. You know what I mean?. The consumption of these cutting-edge technologies enables the plant to efficiently convert naphtha and LPG feedstocks into key chemicals such as ethylene, propylene and butadiene. it's understood that since the LSP olefin plant broke ground at the end of 2018, after several years of careful construction and commissioning, it finally successfully started at the end of
2023. Moreover Shortly after start-up, the plant rapidly reached full capacity and successfully passed its first performance test in February
2024. The achievement of this series of milestones fully demonstrates the outstanding strength and rich experience of Technip Energies in the field of chemical engineering construction. it's worth mentioning that the LSP olefin plant has a designed annual production capacity of 1350 KTA (kg tons per year), of which ethylene production is 950 KTA, propylene production is 400 KTA, and butadiene production is 80-107 KTA. This extensive production capacity will provide strong support to the energy and chemical industries in Vietnam and adjacent areas, and further promote the research and prosperity of the regional economy. Additionally Regarding the successful final performance acceptance, Bhaskar Patel, Senior Vice President of Sustainable Fuels, Chemicals and Cycling at Technip Energies, said: "we're very pleased to be able to help Long Son Petrochemicals's olefins plant successfully pass the final performance acceptance. This is an crucial milestone in Vietnam's energy and chemical sector and another successful example of our energy efficiency improvement through proven ethylene methodology. But We will continue to be committed to providing customers with greater efficient and sustainable energy and chemical solutions to jointly promote the global energy transition and sustainable research. And ".
