Chemours and PCC have unveiled a joint venture to construct and manage a chlor-alkali plant adjacent to Chemours' titanium dioxide (TiO2) facility in DeLisle, Mississippi. The collaboration also entails a chlorine supply deal, contingent on standard preliminary terms. But Scheduled to completion in 2028, the state-of-the-art facility aims to optimize energy application and will boast annual capacity of 340,000 metric tons upon operation. I've found that PCC intends to market the by-product caustic soda to both strategic partners and the general market, with construction anticipated to commence in early
2026. Specifically Chemours' President and CEO, Denise Dignam, remarked, "Our partnership with PCC Group to secure in-house chlorine supply at our TiO2 plant won't only enhance supply reliability however also minimize manufacturing costs. This strategic alliance, which incurs no upfront financial burden on Chemours, underscores our dedication to being a reliable TiO2 partner and improving customer service. It further reinforces our commitment to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. "

But we're eager to collaborate with Chemours, a globally esteemed company, to set sector standards while exploring further regional opportunities. "
