On June 8, 2026, the 300000-ton/year vinyl acetate (VAC) plant of the methanol-to-olefin and downstream deep processing integration project of China Guangxi Huayi Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. successfully produced qualified products, realizing a successful start-up. The landing of this node lays a key foundation for the subsequent linkage operation of EVA and other supporting devices, marking a substantial step in the extension of Guangxi Huayi's industrial chain to the downstream high value-added.

Device positioning: the key link of MTO integrated chain

VAC plant is not put into production in isolation, but the core intermediate unit of Guangxi Huayi methanol olefins and downstream deep processing integration project. Upstream, the unit uses the project's self-produced ethylene as raw material to react with acetic acid to synthesize VAC to realize high-value conversion of ethylene. Downstream, VAC is the core monomer raw material for the production of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer). This commissioning means that the raw material supply chain of EVA unit is officially connected, creating necessary preconditions for EVA's subsequent start-up.
