At 9: 00 on July 24, the 100-ton/year ethylene plant of PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Company lasted 72 hours at full load and the comprehensive calibration of the whole process was successfully completed.

at 9: 00 on July 24, PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Company 1.2 million tons/year ethylene plant for a period of 72 hours, 100% full load, the whole process of comprehensive calibration successfully completed. This calibration of all process operation parameters, energy consumption indexes and environmental protection emission indexes is better than the original design values. It is officially declared that this large-scale domestic ethylene plant has fully reached the design capacity and has long-term safe, efficient, stable and continuous operation capability, thus consolidating the core capacity base for the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of Guangxi petrochemical refining and chemical sector.

Localization Technology Configuration and Operation Highlights of 2. Plant

the ethylene plant adopts a complete set of large-scale ethylene complete process with independent intellectual property rights of PetroChina, and the key catalysts and moving equipment are replaced by domestic production. The core hardware configuration is as follows:

  1. catalyst: supporting domestic PEC-21 palladium catalyst, providing core guarantee for efficient operation of cracking;
  2. unit control system: equipped with double inverter without disturbance switching key equipment, improve the operation stability of large units;
  3. major equipment breakthrough: the electric drive ethylene refrigeration compressor completed the first full-load actual operation, the operation state is stable and controllable, for the domestic same type of electric drive compressor unit operation optimization, parameter tuning precipitated first-hand measured data.

The whole device replaces the traditional steam drive with a motor drive scheme, and has its own significant low-carbon properties, which fully reflects the energy saving and consumption reduction advantages of the domestic process in the process of full load calibration.

3.2 production and operation level: deep excavation of cost reduction and low carbon potential

the calibration process retains a complete database of full-load operating conditions, and the subsequent fine tuning of operating parameters can be carried out based on the data to further reduce the comprehensive energy consumption and material consumption, and continuously tap the space for cost reduction and efficiency increase of the device.
