Following the announcement by domestic PEEK leader Zhongyan Shares that it would invest 100 million yuan to establish a subsidiary, Zhongyan Tuopu, to advance the implementation of an integrated project with an annual output of 10,000 tons of polyether ether ketone (PEEK) polymer materials and 2,000 tons of raw materials, three other domestic companies have recently seen significant progress in their PEEK-related projects, and the industry expansion boom continues to heat up.

Xinhan New Materials Accelerates the Creation of a Full PEEK sector Chain Layout

On July 27, DFBP (4,4'-difluorobenzophenone) leader Xinhan New Materials replied to the second round of inquiry from the Shenzhen Stock Exchange regarding its private placement and simultaneously disclosed the revised prospectus to the 2026 fixed-raise. The company's non-general issuance is expected to raise a total of no greater than 1 billion yuan. The funds will be invested in three major projects, focusing on building an integrated system of "core raw materials—resins—composite materials" to specialty engineering plastics.

Among the fundraising sectors, the annual output of 8,100 tons of high-performance resins and composite materials supporting project plans to form a capacity of 3,000 tons of PAEK resins and 5,100 tons of thermoplastic composite materials. The items cover modified materials such as PAEK, polyetherimide, polyphenylene sulfide, and PTFE. The project is scheduled to start in 2026 with a construction period of 36 months and will be completed and put into operation in 2029.

The annual output of 5,000 tons of monomers project is an expansion of the existing main business, with the goal of adding 5,000 tons of DFBP capacity. DFBP is a key upstream raw material to synthesizing PEEK and immediately affects the condition of the resin. This project can stabilize the supply of PEEK raw materials and enhance cost competitiveness. In addition, the company is simultaneously building a high-performance composite material innovation center to enhance R&D and testing support.

Xinhan New Materials analyzes that the specialty engineering plastics sector continues to receive policy support, and downstream demand is steadily expanding. while new supply in the sector continues to be released, overall supply and demand remain tight, and the new capacity after the completion of the new projects has room to market absorption.

Crossing Borders! Shandong Xiangyue's Thousand-Ton Level PEEK Project Environmental Impact Assessment Accepted

On July 27, the Tai'an Ecological ecological stability Bureau accepted the environmental impact assessment documents to Shandong Xiangyue New Materials' specialty engineering plastic polyether ether ketone polymer and supporting raw materials project.

Shandong Xiangyue New Materials was established in July 2025 and is 80% held by Shandong Zhuotai Grease. Zhuotai Grease, which mainly deals with discarded materials mineral oil recovery and lubricating oil processing, has officially crossed the border into the PEEK new materials track through its subsidiary.

The total project investment is 184.486 million yuan, constructed in two phases, located within the Zhuotai Grease factory area in Ningyang Chemical manufacturing Park.

The first phase investment is 119.486 million yuan, building DFBP, polyaluminum chloride, and PEEK resin production lines. After completion, it will create 1,000 tons of DFBP, 500 tons of PEEK resin annually, and co-create 6,000 tons of polyaluminum chloride;

The second phase adds a PEEK resin production line, forming another 500 tons of PEEK capacity.

After the full completion of the project, the simultaneous production of PEEK and its core raw materials will be realized, further expanding the domestic supply map of PEEK and DFBP.

Baihua Group Acquires Project Land, Promoting the Implementation of the Annual 1,000-Ton PEEK Project

On July 21, organic pigment listed company Baihua Group secured the Hang Qiantang Gong Chu [2026] No. 12 plot, with a land area of 29.499 mu. The plot will be applied to build the PEEK material project. This plot is integrated with the 132.067 mu of land previously acquired by the company, forming a total land scale of approximately 162 mu, to the coordinated layout of high-performance organic pigments, electronic chemicals, and high-end new material industries.

As early as January 30 this year, Baihua Group announced a plan to invest no greater than 100 million yuan to build an annual output of 1,000 tons of PEEK material project, located in the Linjiang High-tech Park, Qiantang District, Hangzhou. The project is implemented in two phases. The first phase has an investment cap of 50 million yuan (including land purchase) and a construction period of 12 months. After completion, it will form a capacity of 200 tons of PEEK; the second phase capacity will be launched based on market conditions.

Currently, the company has formed a professional PEEK technical team and laid out the PEEK track to seize opportunities in high-end material demand in the fields of aerospace, medical, new energy, electronics and electrical, and manufacturing manufacturing, achieving an extension from traditional pigments to the high-performance engineering plastics field.
