According to monitoring by Business Society, on August 2, the butadiene basis was –40.83 yuan/ton (basis = M10 – M20 = 10,271.67 – 10,312.50).

On that day, the BDT M10 moving average crossed below the M20, and the spread between the two turned negative, signaling a possible downtrend or correction in the market.
