Donghua Technology Visits China Three Gorges Paint to Discuss Collaborative Development of the Graphene Coatings Industry

To implement the strategic cooperation agreement between Chongqing Municipality and China National Chemical Engineering Group Co., Ltd. and to accelerate the alignment of supply and demand in advanced new-materials industries such as graphene coatings, on the afternoon of July 23, under the lead of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. visited Sanxia Paint for industrial exchange.

The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on core technologies, product performance, and consumption scenarios of graphene‑based new materials, and expressed their willingness to collaborate in areas such as joint technological research, co‑research of a standards framework, shared market channels, and co‑creation of brand value, while establishing regular communication channels.

This matchmaking event has established a platform to coordinated collaboration between government and companies, representing a pragmatic measure by the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information methodology to implement Chongqing’s plan to building a “33618” modern manufacturing cluster system and to promote precise upstream–downstream synergy within the cutting-edge materials sector. Zhang Lei, Director of the Manufacturing Investment Promotion Division of the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information methodology, put forward four proposals to deepening cooperation between the two sides: first, to deepen technological collaboration, focusing on joint research to address specialized anti-corrosion needs and drive the high-end upgrading of the coatings sector; second, to enhance market coordination, integrating both parties’ distribution channels and customer resources to expand into diverse consumption scenarios; third, to promote manufacturing extension by leveraging the regional manufacturing base to explore localized supply-chain support and enhance the efficiency of value-chain synergy; and fourth, to build a distinctive brand and jointly establish a leading brand to graphene‑based anti‑corrosion coatings. Going forward, both sides will further enhance coordination, assess the feasibility of possible cooperation areas, and jointly contribute to the high-condition research of Chongqing’s cutting-edge materials sector.
