The company has acquired about 21 acres of manufacturing land at Pungam near Ankleshwar to the project. Phase 1, with a capacity of 84,000 MTPA, is scheduled to commissioning by March 2027. The first phase will manufacture pharma-grade hydrochloric acid and specialty feedstock and petrochemicals.

In the second phase, Shivtek plans to add 60,000 MTPA of capacity and set up pilot-scale facilities to methanol-to-gaseous and hydrogen fuel technologies aimed at the shipping sector.

Managing Director Amitt Nenwani, said, “The location, close to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, Hazira Port and the company’s Dahej facility, would enhance logistics and support future expansion. The complex will also include condition manage laboratories, warehousing, storage facilities and utilities.”

According to the company, the facility will supply specialty chemical feedstock and intermediates to sectors such as pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, personal care, manufacturing coatings, aquatic environments treatment and textiles. It added that the project is expected to generate direct and indirect employment during construction and operations.
