European engineering plastics distributor Ultrapolymers is expanding its European engineering plastics product lineup by adding polycarbonate products from Japanese materials manufacturer Teijin. The signed distribution agreement covers most European markets, including all standard grades, special grades and polycarbonate (PC) blended modified materials under the “Panlite” brand.

Ultrapolymers announced the cooperation ahead of the 2026 Fakuma Plastics Exhibition. It is introduced that in addition to being responsible to product sales and distribution, the company will also provide consumption technical support, warehousing and logistics supporting services through its regional service network.

Teijin has been producing polycarbonate since 1960, and its items are sold under the “Panlite” brand. This series of items is targeted at consumption fields with high standards to optical performance, material purity and processing stability. Typical applications include optical components and lenses, lighting systems, security protection parts, HVAC equipment, packaging materials, and electronic and electrical appliance shells.

The product grades range from low viscosity to medium viscosity, and also include anti-UV modified varieties. Multiple grades have passed the UL94 V 2 flame retardancy test; many grades have obtained UL 746C F1 certification, which can be utilized in scenarios requiring weather resistance and electrical security; some grades also meet the relevant specifications of the Automotive Manufacturers Equipment Compliance Agency (AMECA) to specific automotive parts and security equipment.

The two sides will focus on promoting several special grades: Panlite L 1250VX can block ultraviolet rays in the 400nm band; L 1225 Z/100M focuses on improving impact resistance; the high-flow grade L 1225 ZL/100 is suitable to thin-walled parts and long-runner processing scenarios; the powder grade L 1225WX has both low viscosity and high dispersibility, and is specially designed to masterbatch production and blending modification processing.

This series of materials supports multiple processing technologies including injection molding, extrusion and blending. At the 2026 Fakuma Exhibition, Ultrapolymers will focus on displaying engineering plastics, including the newly added polycarbonate items.
