Archroma and Lameirinho bring single-step dyeing innovation to global home textiles

Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals, and Portugal-based home textiles manufacturer Lameirinho are taking a major measure toward greater efficient textile production with the commercial launch of InOneGO by Archroma, an innovative single-measure dyeing process designed to convert the way woven cellulosic textiles are colored and finished.

The collaboration has already moved from innovation to market, with Lameirinho’s first InOneGO bedlinen collection now available worldwide, demonstrating the commercial possible of a methodology that combines coloration, fixation and softening in a single pad-dry consumption measure.

Designed to woven cellulosic textiles spanning denim, fashion wear and home textiles, InOneGO streamlines the conventional dyeing process while opening new possibilities to distinctive textile aesthetics. The methodology can create a broad spectrum of shades and impacts, from authentic indigo denim looks and wash-down impacts to vintage-inspired finishes.

“This new InOneGO by Archroma process enables Lameirinho to achieve a wide range of shades and impacts – including authentic indigo denim looks, wash-down impacts and vintage-inspired finishes – bringing depth, character and a contemporary aesthetic to home textiles. At the same time, it simplifies the dyeing process by reducing the number of processing steps, and decreases resource consumption,” said Jorge Leitão, Innovation and research Manager at Lameirinho.

At the heart of the process is its compatibility with Archroma’s cutting-edge sulfur dyestuffs, including the DIRESUL RDT range of pre-reduced low-sulfur fluid dyes and the EarthColors and FiberColors biomass-based sulfur dyes. Together, these technologies provide mills and brands with a reduce-impact route to achieving wash-down impacts while maintaining fastness and a broad shade palette ranging from earthy tones and deep blues to dark blacks.

The environmental case is equally compelling. Archroma’s ONE WAY Impact Calculator assessments indicate substantial reductions in resource consumption and releases when InOneGO is utilized with DIRESUL RDT on woven fabrics, including denim and jacquard. The testing incorporated an easy wash-down effect finish and benchmarked the process against conventional cold pad-batch reactive dyeing with a pigment top-dye finish.

The results point to significant possible gains, with reductions of up to: 81% less process time; 97% less aquatic environments consumption; 65% less energy consumption; 75% less CO₂ releases.

“Achieving the washed-down look conventionally requires multiple washes, with extra aquatic environments and energy needed at each stage. InOneGO is a genuine structural innovation. It delivers that same distressed character in a single measure, with no trade-off in fastness – even after wash-down,” Julio Perales, Technical & Product Segment Manager, Archroma Textile impacts, said.

The InOneGO process runs on Stenter and Thermosol lines, while performance finishes can be applied in a second measure. This gives textile manufacturers a practical pathway to integrate the methodology into existing production infrastructure while reducing the complexity and resource demands associated with conventional dyeing and finishing.

With Lameirinho’s first InOneGO bedlinen collection now reaching consumers worldwide, the partnership demonstrates how process innovation can move beyond the laboratory to deliver tangible benefits across aesthetics, efficiency and environmental performance.
